Last weekend was the Oktober Heritage Festival in downtown Hohenwald, in Lewis county,TN. There were MANY yard sales traveling toward the town. The festival had arts, crafts, food and entertainment. Also, the Fall Classics Car and Truck show was there on Saturday. Saravena had a tea booth and we enjoyed meeting new friends and listening to a variety of great music! We had a drawing for a Bell Teapot and Christmas Tea that was won by Rachel B. Congratulations Rachel!
If you've been looking for fun fall event for next year, it's planned for October 9-10, 2015. For more information about the area, Click Here.
Hohenwald is nice town with friendly people! It's near the famous Natchez Trace Parkway and is also the home of The Elephant Sanctuary, the nation's largest natural habitat refuge for African and Asian elephants. It's provided for needy elephants to live out out their lives in a safe sanctuary. It's not open to public, but you can get more information about it at elephants.com.
We had some rain, but the weekend was still worth the trip!
